About TAG LiveWords
TAG LiveWords is a live captioning tool run by The Accessibility Guy (Shawn Jordison) for his own webinars, podcasts and online events.
What it does
- The host signs in with Google and starts an event with a time limit and a spending limit.
- Audio from the host's microphone and from a shared Riverside browser tab is sent to OpenAI, which turns speech into text as people talk.
- Attendees open a private link to read the live captions in their browser. They do not sign in, and the page never uses their microphone.
- When the event ends, the host can save the transcript as a Google Doc in a private folder in the host's own Google Drive.
Who can use it
Only the owner of The Accessibility Guy can sign in and start captions. Attendees can only read captions for an event they were given a link to.
